Centrally located on Maid Marian Way. The Indian restaurant has a very smart clean and well lit dining area. The service is of a high standard. Tablecloths and cutlery are clean and well laid out. The menu alone will set your mouth watering; it is very well thought out and the food, beautifully presented. Booking at weekends is essential. Tables are available for walk-in-off-the-street customers mid week. A definite must, superb Indian curry experience at reasonable prices. Top marks all-round.
Members of the DSA Performance and Development Team visited 4550 Miles from Delhi, on 14th August Included in the group were 9 passionate curry eaters from all parts of the British Isles. All agreed the food at 4550 was the best they had ever experienced. However the service was a bit slow. Message received by E-mail
Located on Heathcote Street. Very friendly and accommodating Indian curry house. Good menu with offers and seasonal bookings available, for example Christmas Day dining. Quality of the food is always exceptional. The decoration is a little tired and tables a touch tight on space but the restaurant makes it up on the friendly atmosphere. High scoring.
Savera has just extended its restaurant, the basement is still in use but the restaurant now boasts a well decorated street level dining area. The food is still as good as ever, authentic Indian dishes chosen from a well designed menu. Superb meal , competitivly priced and parking directly outside.
Situated at the southern, city end of Radford Road. A small galley style dining room, this is a bring your own alcohol, Indian restaurant, with off licences only a short walk away. Bangladeshi, Pakistani cuisine, graded in chilli strength, if you're looking for heat you will find it here.
Mansfield Road restaurant close to City centre. Friendly family run business, medium sized dining area, sectioned off into enclosed compartments, ideal for privacy or romantic evenings. The food is excellent, the menu extensive, service always quick and polite.
Miahs has a fantastic venue. A dining room to die for, very authentically dressed room to mimic a genuine colonial Indian dining hall. The menu is quite possibly one of the best in Nottingham, including a duel choice section 2 different curries for the price of 1 served on a split serving dish. The quality of the food is very good, the tandoori is exceptionally dry. But the service poor.
Gandhi,,,,,, Established 1984, Gandhi Indian takeaway has been serving the residents of Nottingham from its West Bridgford shop for over 20 years. Exceptional food from an exceptional menu. See the menu on the features page. Free local delivery for orders over £10, phone 981 7532 see the listing on the takeaway page. A bright and clean modern restaurant, with a pre- dining drinks lounge. The staff are very attentive and carry off a good service standard. The menu and food served doesn't reflect the high prices charged. The restaurant is easily found on Maid Marian Way.
Laziza in Nuthall Village just down from the three ponds pub is great I've been there loads of times. You need to book on a Saturday. My wife and I usually take our friends there, I would definitely recommend it, and give it 5 chillies. Dave
Love the curry guide, my partner and I have used it a couple of times now, we live in Boston Lincs and come into Nottingham on business. Try the Jewel in West Bridgford we have been twice now and can't fault it. Keep up the good work. Alison from Boston
The Jewel in West Bridgford is well worth a visit, I have eaten there many times now and always experience good service and superb food. I would agree with Alison from Boston and thoroughly recommend the Jewel for a great meal. Turmeric,,,, Tumeric takeaway a part of Bombay Brassiere in West Bridgford. Now sharing the kitchen in the recently extended restaurant. Efficient service, attentive staff, serving above average Indian takeaway food. Restaurant and takeaway found at the traffic lights opposite the T.B.I. pub. Mumbai Spice,,,,, Established in 2005, the takeaway can be found opposite (Millennium Cars) on Woodborough Road. Fresh food from a good extensive menu, at reasonable prices. Telephone 962 2857, find the menu in the features page and the address in the takeaway listings page. Mansfield Road restaurant always worth a visit. Food quality is exceptional, the restaurant is quite small, however the service quick and polite. The tandoori dry, bursting with flavour.
This is a very busy Indian restaurant, set in a large Victorian building in the village of Keyworth. The food is very good, should you get a table. The service is quite lengthy at the weekends. Indian Nights also offer a takeaway service with a waiting time extending into the uncomfortable.
The restaurant is in the pedestrian precinct area to the side of the Theatre Royal. The service is above average and the food of a high quality. Tandoori halibut was sampled and received top marks. The restaurant due to its position would get very busy at peek times but has a large dining area. The restaurant in the past has been plastered with photos of celebrities who have eaten there, these have decreased lately and the restaurant appears much smarter.
Eastern Spice Nottingham.co.uk Eastern Spice found on Standard Hill has a large interesting interior, decorated to a high standard. The menu is equally inviting, I found a Mashli dish, the first one I have seen on a Nottingham menu, spelt Machlee on the Eastern Spice menu. A beautiful tandoori fish dish that I have a version of in the recipes pages. The service is exceptional with complimentary side orders. Well worth a visit and they offer a takeaway service too. Top marks all round.
Indian Nights Takeaway,,,,,, Indian Nights takeaway on Melton Road West Bridgford has been running for a few years now. It offers a very friendly professional service. A clean waiting area with free coffee and juice. On all occasions that I have used the takeaway restaurant I have been given complementary dishes. The food is quite possibly the most authentic in the Nottingham area, no oil slicks just beautifully cooked fresh food. On Maid Marion Way, formally Chutney Jacks a well lit American diner style restaurant. The menu is good however very salty, I tried the Chicken Methi and woke with a raging thirst. The restaurant is well lit on the corner of Friar Lane.
Kayal Restaurant is on Broad Street, it opened in late 2007 and has been very popular from the outset. Kayal the Kerala backwater restaurant serves food with a Southern Indian flavour. It has extended it original dining room to a large 1st floor area on the street behind. The cuisine is unique to Kayal and the decor carries the Southern Indian feel. Well worth a visit, you would be better booking first as the restaurant gets very busy.
The Cumin restaurant on Maid Marian Way is one of the newest Indian restaurants in Nottingham. It opened its doors at Christmas time 2007, and is already building a superb reputation for fine authentic Indian cuisine. Sampled from the menu was tandoori salmon and murgh methi both excellent. The restaurant is very well decorated and comfortable seating and table arrangements, it also has a second floor with views of the city.
